The University of Buckingham Education degrees and teacher training courses are amongst the most successful and accessible in the UK. With over 1,000 teachers and school leaders studying with us each year, we are one of the country’s leading providers of teacher training and professional development.

Our PGCE for International Trainees (Fully Online) programme is available for international trainees who teach outside of the UK. The qualification is accessible online with regular virtual seminars and support sessions throughout. Following on from the PGCE, the eligible graduates have an option to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the 12-week Assessment Only Qualified Teacher Status (AO QTS) route. QTS is a UK teaching license and a recognized worldwide teaching qualification that enables teachers to work in many classrooms around the world.

All of our Master's courses are available completely online and are a fantastic way to develop your expertise in a particular aspect of the sphere of education. Whether your interest is in leadership and management, mentoring new-to-role colleagues, sports, or simply the science and practice of Teaching & Learning, we can support your career progression and aspirations. For those who’d like to take a step further in challenging themselves intellectually, we offer the Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD). This is tailor-made for senior teachers or those who hold leadership roles in educational contexts. It’s designed to be done fully on-line and can be completed in a minimum of 3 years.
